Hello! My name is Jessica Coletto, and this is my ninth year teaching at Big Hollow. After teaching 5th grade for five years and Spanish for 3 years at the middle school, I am looking forward to an exciting year in 4th grade at the elementary school! I graduated from Illinois State University (Go Redbirds!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I later pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and last year started the National Board certification process with a group of fellow Big Hollow colleagues. Teaching has always been my passion, and my favorite subject growing up was math.
I have a spunky West Highland White Terrier named Barkley. I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends. My fiance and I enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin to camp with family and planning our wedding that will be next year. Lots of time was spent on pinterest for some DIY crafting!
I hope to instill a love of learning in all of my students, and to help them grow as learners. I look forward to getting to know your child this year!
